Lake Cocibolca and the Caribbean

Day 1

Reception in Managua and transfer from the airport.

Night in Granada in a 3-star character hotel.

Day 2

Visit the colonial city of Granada. Night at the 3-star hotel.

Day 3

Transfer to the airport in Managua. Flight to Big Corn Island. Small taxi to the port (2 km), then boat (30 to 40 min, depending on sea conditions) to Little Corn Island. Night in a 2-star Little Corn Island hotel, on the waterfront!

Days 4 and 5

Quiet days in this small island of 1000 people with no cars on sight ... Palm trees, sandy beach, and a chance of diving or snorkeling.

Day 6

Small taxi boat, then fly back from Big Corn Island to Managua.

Visit the Masaya volcano, town markets and swim in a "crater lake". Night at a 2-star guest house in Apoyo.

Day 7

On the way to Ometepe we visit the “Pueblos blancos”(white villages), famous for their artisans. Ferry to Ometepe and exploration of the Concepcion volcano area. Night on an unusual waterfront "cottage".

Days 8 and 9

Petroglyphs circuit, walk through the woods on the slopes of the Maderas volcano, swimming in a natural pool... Night on the same the hotel.

Day 10

Return to Granada and its islets. In the afternoon arrive at  the El Roble islet. Night in a 3-star Ecolodge.

Days 11 and 12

Full accommodation on the island El Roble, "an island just for you." Visit the community, excursion to white sand beaches, fishing, kayaks, hammocks. Dip into the Spanish language with the local team. Night at the 3-star Ecolodge.

Day 13

End of the trp in Granada; Night at the 3-star hotel like the first day.

Day 14

Transfer to the airport in Managua.
